When we read the news, we see many dates and times. Let us practice in English.

TODAY is Saturday, March 28, 2026. The G7 meeting was on Thursday, March 27.

The Sweden vs Poland playoff is on Tuesday, March 31. The 2026 World Cup starts in summer — July 2026.

In English, we write dates like this: March 28, 2026 (American style) or 28 March 2026 (British style). We say dates like this: 'March the twenty-eighth' or 'the twenty-eighth of March'.

Days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Months: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.

Time in English: 9:00 = nine o'clock / 9:30 = nine thirty / 9:15 = quarter past nine / 9:45 = quarter to ten. The G7 meeting started in the morning on March 27.
