A phishing email is a fake email. The email looks real, but it is not.

Hackers send these emails to steal your information. For example, you might get an email that says: 'Your bank account is in danger!

Click this link to fix the problem.' When you click the link, you go to a fake website.

The website looks like your bank. But it is not your bank.

When you enter your password, the hacker steals it. How can you recognise a phishing email?

First, check the email address. Phishing emails often come from strange addresses, like 'bank.

security@gmail. com'.

Your real bank uses an official email. Second, look for spelling mistakes.

Phishing emails often have bad grammar. Third, be careful with urgent messages.

Hackers often say 'Act now!' or 'Your account will be closed!'

This is to make you act quickly without thinking. Real banks never ask for your password by email.

If you are not sure about an email, call your bank directly.
